ABOUT US
Family and friends are welcome to visit with the residents at any time. The
cozy, fireside lounge promotes friendships and
socializing among the residents as
they participate
in scheduled
activities.
On specified
days
you
can visit
the ice cream parlor for a soft ice cream treat. Additionally, there is a barber/beauty
shop with a licensed beautician on the lower level where residents can make
an appointment for professional services. The large screen TV, for movie viewing
with accompanying popcorn, is a popular activity! Residents can enjoy a vast
assortment of literature in the library where books can be checked out and
returned.
Computer access is also available, including a new touch screen system so residents
can easily keep in touch with family members near and far.
Individual resident rooms
include a call bell system, telephone hookups, complimentary laundry
and housekeeping services, and furniture. Each resident
can bring in familiar 
items from home to decorate their room to reflect
their personality (example: favorite chair, afghan, dresser, etc.) Residents
will
need to bring in their own clothing (individually labeled), usually 4-5
comfortable outfits, night clothes, shoes and slippers, outdoor wear
such as a coat or
sweater depending on the season, socks, underwear, and any products they
are accustomed to using.
ACTIVITIES
The Activities Department coordinates social, recreational
,
educational, cultural and spiritual activities inside and outside the
facility for all residents.
Each resident is encouraged to express their interests by participating
in activity programs that provide opportunities to learn new skills,
develop hobbies,
and socialize with other residents. If group participation is not possible,
one-on-one programming is done. Monthly calendars feature daily unique
activities that encourage participation and interactions.
